Michaela brings with her over 25 years of international advertising and marketing experience with previous held roles in agencies and multinational organisations across Asia Pacific, Africa and North America in sectors including Tourism, Media, Telecommunications, IT & Software, Oil & Gas.
In May 2019 she joined Tourism Australia in the role of General Manager of Brand, Campaigns and Media to ensure Australia is the most desirable and memorable destination in hearts and minds of people around the world inspiring people to travel to experience the best place on the planet.
When she joined Tourism Australia it was focussed on international markets including China, the UK, the US, Continental Europe, India and South East Asia.
To enable Bushire Recovery in 2020 the remit of Tourism Australia expanded to include Australia – to inspire Australian’s To Holiday Here This Year.
With COVID-19 and the impact on Australian’s and travel this domestic remit has become an extra-ordinary time for the Tourism Industry and for Michaela, as a marketer.
